The Disabled Children Register (DCR) is a secure database which captures information about all children and young people aged 0 to 25 years with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in West Berkshire. The information is used anonymously to show the use of and demand for services in West Berkshire. We then use this information to help us to plan, monitor and develop appropriate facilities and services for disabled children and their families.
The DCR is managed by West Berkshire Council's Disabled Children's Team.
Registering
Registering your details is voluntary, but we would encourage parents and carers to register so that we can get as clear a picture as possible of the needs for services in West Berkshire. No child will be added to the register without parental consent.
To register, you will need to complete a simple form which lets us know the details of your child. We will be able to use your contact details to keep you up-to-date with developments in services and other relevant information for disabled children and young people.
You can read more about how we use the data you give us in our Privacy Notice.
