Our Website Usage

When and how our website is used.

Over the last five years, our website usage has grown year on year. This indicates the importance of sharing information online and providing digital services to our residents.

Below, we've included three charts that show our analytics data on page views, site visitors, and the devices they use:

Page Views

As the bar chart above shows, since 2018 our total page views have increased, especially in 2019 and 2021. With over nine million total page views in 2021 and again in 2022, it's clear that we need to have useful, clear and up-to-date information online.

Our digital team are continuously reviewing our website content, designs and services - you can find out more about what they do in the digital services blog.

Site Visitors

This bar chart shows that the number of visitors to the site increased by over 300,000 users in 2020. Since then it's stayed at over 1 million visitors each year.

Devices

The chart above shows that the number of users visiting our site on a mobile device has increased since 2018. In 2022, desktop users increased slightly, although mobile users were still the highest percentage.

As our users use desktop and mobile devices, we need to make sure our site is mobile friendly as well as displaying well on larger screens.
