In this era of connectivity
And life's longevity
Why am I so alone?
And for how long?
Nobody knows
From the outside I have everything
The mask doesn't slip
The smile and laugh is oh so quick
Yet deep down...
On my own my key is in minor
It never used to be like this
Yet over the years, something has gone amiss Unknown, unseen, gradually creeping up, creating Meaningless social interactions and genuine loneliness
Loneliness can be invisible
It's not just physically being there
And at 3 am in the morning
When you're wide awake in bed
Remember the sun always rises
On a better day ahead
