Students from schools across West Berkshire are coming together to discuss issues, how they would like to change things in their local area for the better.

The West Berkshire Youth Council provides opportunities for 11-18-year-olds to use their elected voice to bring about social change through meaningful representation and campaigning.

Over time, this area will develop and evolve for the Youth Council.

What are we discussing at the moment

The Big Ambition launched on 14 September to hear directly from children, young people, and parents from across the country.

As we approach the general election, it is a crucial moment listen to children and young people's voices.

That is why, through The Big Ambition survey, it is important to hear from children and young people about their schools, communities, family life, and the wider world. What do they want for their future, their hopes, dreams, and aspirations.

This survey is for all children and young people aged 6, up to 18. Alongside this, parents and other adults can complete the survey on behalf of children and young people aged 0, up to 5, to ensure we also hear from early years settings.

It is important to hear the voice of children from all backgrounds, all settings, and every part of the country to policy makers - to make sure their needs are heard.

Click on the link below to access an easy read version of the survey and different questions based on the age of the child or young person. The Big Ambition webpage is also live and includes resources and overviews of the survey.
