West Berkshire Council safeguarding training

This free training is available to anyone working for a voluntary or community sector organisation. It provides key information about safeguarding adults and/or children.

It covers:

  • what safeguarding is
  • why we have a duty to safeguard
  • types of abuse
  • the concept of significant harm
  • signs, symptoms and indicators of abuse
  • duty to report
  • the referral process
  • multi-agency approach
  • information sharing and confidentiality

The training is face-to-face and held at Shaw House in Newbury.
