Emotional Health Triage service (EHT)
Thank you for taking the time to submit a referral to the Emotional Health Triage. We appreciate how difficult it can be to seek support, and we recognise the care and concern that sits behind each referral.
Due to significant service pressures and current capacity constraints, we regret that we are temporarily unable to accept or respond to new referrals. We have now disabled the referral form from the website.
We appreciate that this may be frustrating and could create additional challenges within your role. Please be assured that this decision has not been taken lightly, and we are actively reviewing our capacity with the aim of resuming normal service as soon as possible.
If you have concerns about your own, or a child's, emotional wellbeing, the following services may be able to offer support:
- GP services - for assessment, advice and consideration of onward referral
- CAMHS - mental health services for children and young people
- Addictions: Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust
- Time to Talk - counselling support for young people in West Berkshire
- SAFE! - support for young people affected by crime
Or,
- free peer support from Tellmi:
- Tellmi is an NHS-commissioned, digital mental health service offering a safe online space for young people to talk about anything that's worrying them - it is completely anonymous and every single post and reply is checked by a human moderator before being made live - it's safe for children as young as 11 - visit the Tellmi app website, or search for 'Tellmi' in the App Store or Play Store
- free therapy from Tellmi Therapy:
- Tellmi Therapy is available for free to anyone aged 11 to 17 in Reading, Wokingham, and West Berkshire - 1-2-1 text-based therapy sessions encourage people to identify possible solutions by concentrating on what they can do instead of what they can't - there are no waiting lists, or treatment thresholds, and individuals can choose to have as many or as few sessions as they feel are necessary - visit the Tellmi website to find out more or make a referral for Tellmi Therapy
We are not a crisis or emergency service. If you or someone else has seriously injured themselves, taken an overdose, or you are worried about you or someone else's immediate safety:

If it's not a 999 emergency, but you need urgent mental health support fast, you can:
call 111 (select 'mental health' option) or use the NHS 111 online service.
If you're having suicidal thoughts or extreme mental health difficulties, there are further support options listed below (all operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week):
