Welcome to West Berkshires Local Offer for Care Leavers

Local authorities have a duty to young people who are leaving care to tell them about the services and support that is available to them to help successfully move onwards and upwards to independence.

This is our local offer which explains your entitlements as a Care Leaver now you are 18, as well as the additional help, support, advice, and guidance that West Berkshire Council believes we should provide to our Care Leavers.

This website has been co-produced with our care experienced young people and the artwork provided by our RVUE members.

Throughout these pages will be links to websites that provide accurate, up to date information, you can also speak to your personal advisor if you have any questions.

Just because you are leaving care, or have already left care, we haven't stopped caring about you. We know that it is a big step when you move out of care and start living on your own or with friends.

West Berkshire Council and our partners are here to support you, even after you leave care. You're not alone in this journey.
