Starting in May, Stagecoach are adding more journeys to the route connecting Newbury and Basingstoke.

Service 32, formerly known as The Link, will now operate on Sundays/bank holidays for the first time, with extended evening hours Monday to Saturday, and additional peak time options on weekdays.

These enhancements mark a significant step forward in improving public transport options for residents, commuters, and visitors alike. Explore all that Basingstoke and Newbury has to offer. Whether it's catching the latest blockbuster, visiting loved ones, or taking new opportunities, the enhanced Service 32 makes it easier than ever to get where you need to go.

These enhancements build upon recent introductions from West Berkshire Council, such as the 1e late evening service between Newbury and Thatcham, the Lime 2a extension to Mortimer on Sundays, and the X34 route between Newbury and Harwell Campus/Didcot.

Combined with new on-demand bus services like West Berkshire Community Connect and Wiltshire Connect, local bus services continue to evolve to better serve your needs.

Don't forget, your concessionary fares bus pass is valid on these services from Monday to Friday (9:30am to 11:00pm) and anytime over weekends and bank holidays.

Cllr Stuart Gourley, Executive Member for Environment and Highways at West Berkshire Council, said:

"We've long strived to enhance late evening and Sunday bus services across the district. We look forward to residents making the most of these new services as these improvements reflect our commitment to improve connectivity and accessibility by providing reliable public transport options for our community."

This service extension has been made possible by funding from HM Government, given to West Berkshire Council after submission of a Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) in October 2021 and the Council has partnered with Stagecoach and Hampshire County Council to make these services a reality.

There will be further announcements about your local bus services in the coming months so please do look out for them.

Further information can be found on Stagecoach and West Berkshire Council's websites.
