West Berkshire Council has a range of opportunities to volunteer with us regardless of age or experience. Volunteering with us is a great way to gain and share skills, as well as helping your local community.
Our Community Panel gives you a chance to can get involved in the decision-making process of the council by sharing you opinions on important local issues. Panel members can get involved through group discussions, answering surveys or participating in webinars.
A wide range of topics are discussed varying from where a bus stop location should be placed, to decisions about provisions that cover the entire district. You can find out more about our Community Panel online: westberks.gov.uk/community-engagement.
Along with this, you could also volunteer at any of our libraries, Shaw House or West Berkshire Museum. You could greet and interact with visitors or give support running everyday activities and clubs. If you are interested in volunteering with us then visit: westberks.gov.uk/volunteer.
You could also volunteer with any of our Countryside partners including The Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust and The Friends of Linear Park. It's a chance to get out and about, enjoying the fresh air whilst creating a difference in our beautiful district.
