West Berkshire Local Plan Review - Secretary of State Intervention Letter

In December 2023 the Council published a proposal to withdraw the Local Plan Review from independent examination. The Minister of State for Housing, Planning and Building Safety, Lee Rowley MP, intervened and wrote to the Council on 19 December 2023 to instruct to proceed with the independent examination.

On 12 January 2024, the Council replied to the Minister of State making it clear it would continue with the preparations for the public hearing sessions, which form part of the independent examination. The public hearing sessions are expected to be held later this year.
