Find out more about what the West Berkshire Local Plan Review 2023-2041 is and how we use it as part of the overall Development Plan for West Berkshire.

The West Berkshire Local Plan Review 2023-2041 (LPR) is an important part of the Development Plan for West Berkshire. It identifies the development that is required to meet local needs until 2041. It sets out the strategy for distributing development within the district and the policies for protecting, conserving and enhancing the natural, built and historic environment. It helps local people in West Berkshire achieve sustainable development.

The LPR includes three different types of policies: strategic policies, non-strategic site allocation policies, and development management policies. Further details are set out below. An Interactive Policies Map is available to view here which geographically illustrates the policies.
